The new sign put up today
Just up today. The implement is our potato plow that was originally for a horse power setup. The big blank space is for hanging various veggies for sale and other info that will change over time. Now everyone will know where to find us.
Eric and Andrea Van Wyk to the farm for a visit
Back from India, the Van Wyks' stopped by for a visit. It was great.

Vaginal Birth!
The subject line was the chant I heard from my sister and friends on my voice mail after Monday's ultrasound and prenatal appointment. The placenta has moved away from my cervix, which means we can have baby at the birth center instead of the hospital, and which makes a vaginal birth most likely for us! I know there are still things that could result in a c-section, but right now Little One's head is down by my cervix and baby and mom are healthy. We are very thankful! :) We will try to post pictures later of Little One's most recent (and last!) ultrasound.

Updates
Alright, Bekah, I'm posting. :)
Here are the updates from the last three weeks:
1 - I finished school yesterday!!! I turned in all my grades, finished cleaning/organizing my room, and turned in my keys since I won't be back next year in light of my maternity leave. It doesn't feel real yet, even though I've had a delightfully relaxing Friday morning.
2 - Going back to a couple of weeks ago, our farm apprentice Andrew Kroeze arrived and has been a HUGE help to Dan, not only as a pair of extra hands but also as someone who knows a lot about machines. Andrew has also been introducing us to some new bands, which has been fun since we're kind of out of the music scene these days.
3 - I've had two more baby showers - one was a surprise from our Sunday school class, and the other was organized by my housemate Adrienne and dear friend Jane. I have such good friends here!
4 - My family has had 2 major get-togethers: one for Bekah's graduation in Iowa (congrats again, Little Sister!) and one for Mother's Day and birthdays. Good times in the Oudman Family!
5 - Eric and Andrea Van Wyk came for a visit this past Wednesday! We had a great time catching up around the bonfire - lots of laughs and some immature behavior revolving around hot dogs from the boys. No surprises there! :)
6 - The first farm distribution is today, which will include lettuce, mixed baby greens, and some herbs. As you can imagine, Dan is extremely busy but still sane (at least for now). :)
7 - Last night Dan couldn't go with me to our Bradley birthing class in Indy because he was presenting on the farm to the Grant Country Extension Board, so Jane (the one who threw the shower), our assistant coach, went with me instead. Dan, unfortunately, missed our best class yet. We played a review game, and I won the first round, so I got some to pick out a prize, and our name was randomly pulled for a prize because we completed the first draft of our birth plan, so I got TWO PRIZES last night!!! I know it may not seem exciting to those of you reading this, but I like to win things. :) Then the relaxation technique that we practiced was massage, which was amazing - Jane is the best assistant coach EVER! The one unfortunate thing that happened was that I got a parking ticket for parking in front of a fire hydrant. :( Our class is in a residential area (at our instructor's house), and I didn't even notice it was there. There goes part of our economic stimulus check. (Does this remind anyone in my family of the time I got a parking ticket at Indiana Dunes? Don't worry, I didn't call someone to try to convince them I couldn't afford it because I was going to college, and I didn't cry.) :)
8 - Little One did something new last night and then again this morning. I was reading a book propped up on my belly, and Little One pressed against my hands/book. So I pressed down again and Little One pressed against my hand! Dan tried it again this morning and Little One did it again. So AMAZING!!!
I'm sure I'm forgetting something because forgetting has become a normal part of life these days, so please don't be offended if you were part of something significant in my life in these past 3 weeks and I haven't posted about it.
